A congenital a neural tube defect in which the spinal canal does not close before birth and little/none of the meninges or spinal cord protrude through the back. While Spina Bifida Occulta is the most common and mildest form of Spina Bifida, it can present with other neural tube defects, such as Tethered Cord Syndrome.
