Minimally Invasive Subpial Tonsillectomy
Surgical procedure that some neurosurgeons prefer to a full on decompression surgery. It consists of a sub-occipital craniectomy (removal of part of the skull), a durotomy (in contrast with duraplasty, the dura is closed and no patch is used), cerebellar tonsils are removed, but reattached.
