Magnetic Resonance Imaging [MRI]
Diagnostic device which uses a combination of a strong magnetic field, pulses of radio wave energy, and computer to create images of the body’s organs and other structures. It gives different information about bodily structures than can be seen with xray, ultrasounds, or computed tomography (CT) scan. It can help see inside joints, cartilage, ligaments, muscles, and tendons and is widely used to research and measure brain structure and function.
