Lateral Ventricles
The largest of four interconnected, C-shaped cavities of the ventricular system in the brain that contain cerebrospinal fluid. (The other 2 are the 3rd and 4th ventricle). The lateral ventricles are a paired structure and one is found in each cerebral hemisphere (left and right hemisphere) and are named for the hemisphere they reside in: left or right lateral ventricle.
