Monro-Kellie Hypothesis
Also known as the “Monro-Kellie Doctrine.” It is a pressure-volume relationship within the skull that strives to keep an equilibrium between the volumes of the brain, cerebrospinal fluid, and intracranial blood. An increase in one should cause a decrease in one or both of the remaining two.
