Connective Tissue
Connective tissues support and binds tissues in the body together, binds structures together, and forms a framework and support for the organs (including holding them in place) and body as a whole. It also stores fat, transports substances, protects against diseases, and helps repair damage to tissues that may occur throughout the body. Some examples of connective tissues are: ligaments, tendons, cartilage, bone (mineralized, osseous connective tissue), and blood, etc.
