It’s not all that hard to understand the connection between EDS and Chiari. Once you understand what EDS is and what it’s known for, it becomes painfully obvious. Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) are in a group of Heritable Connective Tissue Disorders, known for (among other things):

*Organ Prolapse (the cerebellum really is just a complex organ)

*Dislocations/Subluxations of joints (your vertebrae, including your odontoid process, are bound together by connective tissues)

*Fragile tissue/skin (your dura is one of the most fragile tissues in the human body, which is why we’re so prone to leaks)
